Server provisioning

Servers are RailDock's execution targets. The API exposes create/update/delete, connectivity test, provisioning, provisioning status, validation, host metrics, and network inspection.

Provisioning flow

  1. Create the server record with its connection information.
  2. Test connectivity.
  3. Start provisioning with the appropriate proxy mode and options.
  4. Follow provisioning status.
  5. Run validation and review detected runtime information.
  6. Assign a project only after the host is ready.

Validation data

Validation can update detected server status, software version, OS information, uptime, proxy state, and public IP information. Treat validation as a current observation, not a permanent guarantee of host health.
